A little shop on the corner of a junction in Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima. I stopped several times to get a snap of this and nearly got runover. The plants, the red, the wood, just a dream.
Aizuwakamatsu is a cute little town in Fukushima with routes to Ouchi-juku a small village with traditional thatched houses. The whole area was fantastic and I got extra credit for speaking Japanese because they dont get many foreign tourists out that way. 日本語上手!
This is also near the fields in the view from a train that I painted a while back. Highly recommend getting out into the countryside if you make it to Japan.
In the same town we found a little cocktail bar that gave us a tiny ceramic frog as omiyage and had some great food (of course)
